CURING YOUR STUPID ADDICTION TO BEING RIGHT: A Talk w/Hoodzpah

We will be hosting the wonderful dynamic duo from Hoodzpah Design. Hoodzpah Design is a boutique brand identity agency founded by Amy and Jennifer Hood. Hoodzpah has worked on projects with Red Bull, Target, 20th Century Fox, Google, and more. Amy and Jennifer are co-authors of the book “Freelance, and Business, and Stuff: A Guide for Creatives.” They will be presenting their talk, “Curing Your Stupid Addiction To Being Right,” a talk on lessons learned and how to stay malleable as a creative. Hoodzpah will be popping up before and after the event selling books, pins, posters, and more!

Saturday Nov 17th: 

“PRICING, PITCHING, AND PRESENTING”: A Freelance Business Workshop with Hoodzpah


WHAT: 

How to start your own business, grow your client base, and promote yourself without selling out or starving. In this 4 hour freelance workshop we’ll have worksheets, take-home resources, a presentation, low-risk/low-cost tips and tricks, personal anecdotes, and 30-45 minutes of open Q&A at the end (so get your specific business questions ready!).

WHO: 

Students, freelancers, entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and non-designers welcome. This course is great for anyone interested in how to set your pricing (hourly and flat rate), quote and pitch projects, and present your work in an effective way to you clients. Photographers, motion designers, graphic designers, illustrators, and creatives of all types will benefit. We’re not focusing on any specific creative industry, but rather systems and procedures of how we run things at Hoodzpah.

Workshop is limited to 25 participants.  All supplies will be provided including a take home workbook.
