As, Not for: Dethroning our Absolutes | Opening Reception

As, Not For is an incomplete historical survey of work created by African-American graphic designers curated and designed by Jerome Harris. These practitioners are absent in too many classroom lectures, and their methods mostly invisible or uncredited in the field. This exhibition aims to promote the inclusion of neglected Black designers and their developed methodologies and challenge the ubiquity of White and anti-Black aesthetics in our designed world.

AIGA Oklahoma is excited to host a portion of the exhibition at Plaza Walls Gallery in Oklahoma City.

Opening Reception | Friday, March 10th

6–9pm @ Plaza Walls Gallery

Show will be open for viewing during Plaza Walls Gallery hours through the month of March.

Gallery hours are Wed-Sat 1-7pm and Sunday 12-5pm.
