The Sweet Return of Baseman
Wednesday, April 18, 1990. The Ramones played a show at The Edge in Norman. 29-year-old Gary Baseman presented his first-ever speaking engagement to the GCS (Graphic Communication Society) in sleepy downtown Oklahoma City.
The Ramones are gone, but on March 10, 2016, Baseman is back.
During the past 26 years, Baseman has built an amazing career illustrating for clients including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and The Wall Street Journal, the bestselling board game Cranium; as well as the Emmy and award-winning Disney animated series “Teacher’s Pet.”
Baseman's current projects include a collaboration with COACH on their ready-to-wear and lifestyle collections; unique limited edition decanters with 1800 Tequila; and a multifaceted art installation at the Drake One Fifty in Toronto, Canada.
Join us on Thursday, March 10, 2016 to experience Gary explore the “beauty of the bittersweetness of life” through painting, performance, film and fashion.
